Official rules and regulations for all ChessVeda tournaments and competitions. Please read carefully before participating.
All tournaments follow standard chess rules unless otherwise specified. Time controls, pairing systems, and game options are clearly stated in each tournament's detail page.
Use of chess engines, computer assistance, or any form of external help during games is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification and potential account suspension. We employ advanced fair play detection systems to ensure tournament integrity.
This tournament is open to all registered ChessVeda users who meet the age and rating requirements specified in the tournament details. Participants must have a valid ChessVeda account and agree to these rules. Employees of ChessVeda and their immediate family members may be restricted from certain prize-eligible tournaments.
Registration must be completed before the tournament start time. Entry fees, if applicable, must be paid at the time of registration. No refunds will be provided after registration closes unless the tournament is cancelled by ChessVeda. By registering, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and up-to-date.
Prizes will be awarded as specified in the tournament details. Winners must comply with all verification requirements, including providing valid identification and tax information where applicable. Prize distribution typically occurs within 7-14 business days after tournament conclusion and winner verification. ChessVeda reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes on prizes.
All participants must maintain respectful behavior at all times. Cheating, harassment, hate speech, or any form of misconduct will result in immediate disqualification and possible permanent account suspension. This includes but is not limited to: use of chess engines or computer assistance, collusion with other players, deliberately manipulating ratings (sandbagging), abusive or threatening communication, or exploiting technical vulnerabilities.
ChessVeda reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the tournament at any time due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to technical issues, insufficient participation, or force majeure events. Participants will be notified of any changes through the platform notifications and registered email addresses. In case of cancellation, entry fees will be refunded in full.
All decisions made by tournament arbiters and ChessVeda staff regarding game outcomes, fair play violations, and rule interpretations are final and binding. Disputes should be reported immediately during the tournament through the designated reporting system. Post-tournament appeals must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of tournament conclusion to support@chessveda.com with all relevant details and evidence.
By participating in tournaments, you consent to ChessVeda collecting and processing your game data, performance statistics, and tournament results for the purposes of tournament operation, rankings, and platform improvement. Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
ChessVeda makes no warranties regarding uninterrupted or error-free tournament operation. We are not liable for any technical failures, connection issues, or force majeure events that may affect tournament participation or outcomes. Participants agree to hold ChessVeda harmless from any claims arising from tournament participation.
